Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Description

The COO will be responsible for the development, design, operation, and improvement of the current systems that create and deliver the company’s services. The COO will be responsible for delivering on aggressive company growth goals and initiatives.  The COO will be responsible for ensuring that business operations are efficient and effective and that proper management of resources, distribution services to patients and families, and analysis of processes is done in the most efficient manner.


The COO will plan by prioritizing patient and families, employees, quality, service and other organizational requirements.  


 


The COO will:



  1. Lead by developing and cascading the organizations’ mission and overall strategy to the entire staff

  2. Drive performance measures for the measurement of an operation’s performance and consideration of efficiency versus effectiveness, often in the form of dashboards convenient for review of high level key indicators

  3. Develop and execute to marketing and operational growth plans company-wide and for each of the 10+ states

  4. Maintain and monitor staffing levels

  5. Monitor and control operating expenses

  6. Implement appropriate rewards & recognition and coaching/corrective action practices to align colleagues with company goals


Financial Management and Accounting



  • Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and close processes including development of a management dashboard

  • Manage operations team to ensure execution of A/P, A/R, budgeting, payroll, and cash management, including bank reconciliations

  • Establish/update financial management processes as well as related infrastructure (accounting systems) to enable scalability of operations


Contract Management



  • Oversee monitoring, tracking and compliance of all commercial contracts

  • Coordinate with project teams and client contracting staff to resolve contractual issues and ensure timely invoicing

  • Develop pricing guidelines, pricing rates and proposal pricing strategies


Position Requirements:



  • 15+ years of operations experience, preferably in a fast-paced healthcare services business

  • Strong background in multi-site, multi-state operations and especially strong leadership skills

  • Smart and strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and experience within healthcare services required

  • Advanced degree preferred; BS/BA degree required
